Dan Quinn Autographs
Dan Quinn is a former ice hockey player who was born on June 1, 1965, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for fourteen seasons with a total of eight different teams. Quinn was a versatile forward who could play in any position on the ice. His best season was in 1987-88 when he scored 94 points for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He retired from professional ice hockey in 1996, finishing his career with 266 goals and 587 points in 805 games.
Quinn played junior hockey for the Belleville Bulls before joining the NHL. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the first round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. He spent his first three seasons with the Flames before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He then played for the Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, and Ottawa Senators. Later in his career, he played overseas in European leagues, including Switzerland and Germany.
Quinn had a successful hockey career, but he continued his involvement in the sport after retiring from playing. He became an assistant coach for the Vancouver Canucks and then the head coach of the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. In 1999, he was promoted to head coach of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, leading the team for two seasons. He has also worked as a scout and consultant for various NHL teams. Dan Quinn was a respected player and coach in the hockey world and made a significant contribution to the sport.
