Danny Gare Autographs
Danny Gare was born on May 14th, 1954 in Nelson, British Columbia. He was known as a fierce competitor on the ice, a talented scorer, and a determined leader. Gare began his junior hockey career with the Calgary Centennials in the Western Hockey League, where he quickly proved to be a standout player. In his second season, he scored an impressive 62 goals and 123 points, earning himself a spot on Team Canada's World Junior team.
In 1974, Gare was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round, where he made his NHL debut. With his speed and goal scoring abilities, Gare quickly became a fan favorite in Buffalo. In the 1979-1980 season, he was named the Sabres captain, leading the team to the playoffs for the first time in five years. Gare played eight seasons with the Sabres, amassing 267 goals and 482 points.
Gare finished his career with brief stints on the Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers before retiring in 1987. In his 14-year career, he scored 354 goals and 331 assists, becoming one of the most respected players in the league. Gare left his mark on the game with his relentless work ethic, leadership, and ability to find the back of the net. After his playing career, he worked as a broadcaster and NHL executive, and in 2014, he was inducted into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame.
