Darrin Shannon Autographs
Darrin Shannon is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played over 500 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) during his career. Born on October 23, 1969, in Barrie, Ontario, Shannon started playing hockey at a young age and eventually played for the Niagara Falls Flyers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
Shannon was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft and played his first full NHL season in 1990. He spent six seasons with the Sabres before joining the Winnipeg Jets and later the Dallas Stars. During his career, Shannon was known for his speed and versatility, playing both forward and defense positions.
In total, Shannon played 506 NHL games, scoring 89 goals and 152 assists for a total of 241 points. He also played in international competitions, representing Canada in the 1991 World Championships and the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. Since retiring from professional hockey, he has stayed involved in the sport as a coach and youth hockey organizer in his hometown of Barrie.
