Darryl Sittler Autographs
Darryl Sittler is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player, born on September 18th, 1950, in St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada. He had a remarkable career in the NHL, where he played for 15 seasons from 1970 to 1985. Sittler started his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he played for 12 seasons and served as their captain from 1975 to 1980. During his captaincy, the Maple Leafs made it to the playoffs six times in seven years. Sittler also spent time playing for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Detroit Red Wings.
Sittler is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Toronto Maple Leafs history. He holds numerous franchise records, including most goals in a single game (six), and most points in a single season (127). His most famous moment came on February 7th, 1976, when he scored ten points in a single game, setting an NHL single-game record that still stands to this day. This accomplishment elevated Sittler to legendary status in both Toronto and across the hockey world.
Sittler retired from the NHL in 1985, finishing with 484 goals and 1,121 points in 1,096 career games. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1989 and has since become a prominent figure in the hockey community, working as an ambassador for the Maple Leafs, and serving as an honorary chairman for multiple charities. Darryl Sittler's impact on the world of hockey cannot be overstated, and he remains one of the most beloved players in NHL history.
