Daryl Evans Autographs
Daryl Evans is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player, who was born on February 27, 1961. The Peterborough, Ontario native spent most of his career as a forward, playing for various teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for nine seasons in the NHL between 1981 and 1990. During his professional hockey career, he played for five different teams, including his last season with the Los Angeles Kings.
Evans' most significant moment in his hockey career came during the 1981-82 NHL season while playing for the Kings. In the playoffs that year, he famously scored the game-winning goal against the Edmonton Oilers, which is now known as the "Miracle on Manchester." Evans' goal helped the Kings overcome a 5-0 deficit to win the game 6-5. This match is considered to be one of the greatest comebacks in NHL history. Evans became a popular figure in Los Angeles after that game, and he continues to be a well-regarded member of the Kings' organization.
After retiring from playing hockey, Evans went on to work as a television and radio commentator for almost two decades. He also continued to be involved in youth hockey, coaching and teaching young players around Southern California. As of 2021, Daryl Evans remains a beloved figure in Los Angeles Kings history and is a celebrated member of the organization.
