Dave Manson Autographs
Dave Manson is a former NHL Defenseman who played from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. Manson played for a total of seven teams including the Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers, and Montreal Canadiens, during his professional career. Known for his physical play and aggressive style, Manson was a solid blue-liner who was always willing to drop the gloves to defend his teammates.
Manson was born on January 27th, 1967, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. He started his hockey career with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League where he played for two seasons, earning a reputation as a physical defenceman. Manson was first drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1985 and played eight seasons with the club. While with the Blackhawks, Manson won the 1991 Canada Cup with Team Canada where he was a crucial part of their defense.
In 1997, Manson was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes where he played for a short time before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens. Manson's time in Montreal was cut short, but he was able to contribute to the team's run in the playoffs. Manson retired in 2002 after playing for the Dallas Stars. After hockey, Manson worked as an assistant coach for various WHL teams. Manson was known for his physicality, solid defensive play, and leadership on and off the ice. His playing style has left a lasting impact on the game of hockey.
