Dave Taylor was born on December 4, 1955, in Levack, Ontario. He began his journey in hockey as a young boy who played minor hockey in his hometown. In 1974, Taylor was signed by the Vancouver Canucks' up-and-coming farm system. He then played for Quebec Remparts, Vancouver Canucks, and so on but his most successful stint came in his career with the Los Angeles Kings. More about Dave Taylor

Taylor's career as a center-forward for the Los Angeles Kings was a standout one. He joined the team in 1977 and quickly proved himself as an efficient scorer and a tenacious forechecker. In 1980, Taylor was awarded the Bill Masterton Trophy for his dedication and perseverance. He went on to lead the Kings in scoring for eight seasons, becoming one of Los Angeles' most beloved players. Taylor played in the NHL for 17 seasons, appearing in 1,111 games with a remarkable 1,069 point's record, and averaging 1.03 points per game in a hard-working, take-no-prisoners style.

Throughout his career, Taylor showcased his versatility on the ice, excelling in all aspects of play. He won a gold medal with Team Canada in the 1984 Canada Cup and represented Canada in the 1986 World Ice Hockey Championships. In 2006, Dave Taylor was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, recognizing his exceptional abilities and contributions to the sport. With his work-ethics and determination, Taylor remains one of the greatest hockey players of all time.
