David Musil Autographs
David Musil was born on April 9, 1993, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was in Edmonton that his love for hockey first began as he grew up surrounded by the sport. His father, Frank Musil, was a former NHL player, and this undoubtedly influenced David's passion for the game.
David's hockey career began when he was selected in the first round, 38th overall, by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft. He played five seasons with the Oil Kings, serving as an alternate captain in his last year in the WHL. In 2011, Musil was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 31st overall, in the NHL Entry Draft. He spent the next five seasons playing in the American Hockey League (AHL), initially with the Oklahoma City Barons and then with the Bakersfield Condors. In the 2016-17 season, Musil was called up to the NHL twice to play for the Oilers.
David Musil has since returned to play in Europe, signing with the Eisbären Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany for the 2017-18 season. He has also played for HC Lev Praha in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and HC Kometa Brno in the Czech Extraliga. Throughout his career, Musil has always been known as a skilled and physical defenseman with a great work ethic. As he continues to play professional hockey, he remains determined to improve his game and help his team achieve success.
