Derick Brassard Autographs
Derick Brassard is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center. He was born on September 22, 1987, in Hull, Quebec, and grew up playing minor hockey in his hometown. Brassard was drafted sixth overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Brassard made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets in 2008 and quickly established himself as an offensive force on the team. In 2013, he was traded to the New York Rangers, where he became a key player on the team's run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014. He would later play for the Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers, and Arizona Coyotes throughout his career.
Over the course of his 14-year NHL career, Brassard amassed 537 points in 907 regular-season games. He was known for his playmaking ability and was a skilled passer and shooter. Brassard was also a two-time World Junior Championship gold medalist for Canada and represented his country at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Upon his retirement from hockey in 2021, Brassard expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had throughout his career and his love for the game that had given so much to him.
