Dixon Ward Autographs
Dixon Ward is a former professional ice hockey player born on September 23, 1968, in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. He began his career at the University of North Dakota, where he played college hockey for four years. Ward was a standout player, leading his team to the NCAA Frozen Four championship game in 1987-88. The New York Rangers drafted him in 1988, and he played for their minor league teams until making his NHL debut in 1991.
Ward played for four different NHL teams during his career, including the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings, and Buffalo Sabres. He is best known for his time with the Sabres, where he played from 1996 to 2003. During his time in Buffalo, Ward was a key player, helping the team reach the playoffs for six consecutive seasons. He was an excellent penalty-killer and was known for his speed, grit, and scoring ability.
Ward retired from professional hockey in 2004, after playing for several seasons in Europe. Since retiring, he has worked as an assistant coach for various hockey teams, including the Sabres and the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Overall, Dixon Ward had an impressive career, playing in nearly 600 NHL games and totaling 150 goals and 208 assists. He was a dependable player with a great work ethic and played an important role in the success of the teams he played for.
