Doug Mohns Autographs

Doug Mohns was a Canadian ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over two decades. Born on December 13, 1933, in Capreol, Ontario, Mohns began his hockey career with the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey Association. He was later signed by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1953 and made his NHL debut in the following season. During his time at Chicago, he set a record for consecutive games played, playing in 524 straight games between 1956 and 1963.
In 1964, Mohns was traded to the Boston Bruins where he continued to excel as a defenseman. He was an integral part of the Bruins' success during the late 1960s and early 1970s and won the team's Best Defenseman Award in 1964-65 and in 1969-70. Later, he was traded to the Minnesota North Stars in 1972, where he played his last two seasons in the NHL. Mohns retired at the end of the 1973-74 season, having played in over 1,200 games in his NHL career.
Overall, Doug Mohns' achievements as a hockey player were impressive. He was an NHL All-Star six times, played in four Stanley Cup finals, and won a championship with the Bruins in 1970. He was known for his solid defensive contributions, clean play, and ability to adapt to changing styles of play throughout his career. After retiring from professional ice hockey, Mohns continued to play in local recreational leagues and remained a driving force in the hockey community.
