Doug Weight is a retired professional ice hockey player from the United States. Born on January 21, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, Weight grew up in St. Clair Shores, where he began to play for the St. Clair Shores Saints, a local hockey team. His talent and passion for the game quickly became apparent, and he decided to pursue a career in ice hockey. He eventually became the team's head coach in 2017, a position he held until 2020.
