Dwight Foster Autographs
Dwight Foster was born on January 9, 1957, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He developed a passion for hockey at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks to become a professional player. His career began in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playing for the Peterborough Petes.
Foster’s big break came in the 1977 NHL draft when he was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round. He made his debut for the team in 1979 and played with them for five seasons. During his time with the team, Foster was known for his physical play and his ability to score goals. In the 1982-83 season, he recorded 29 goals and 18 assists for a total of 47 points in just 53 games. In 1984, he was traded to the New Jersey Devils where he played just one season before moving on to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Foster’s career came to an end in 1986 due to injuries sustained during a game. Despite a shortened career, he still managed to play in 296 NHL games and scored a total of 93 goals and 71 assists for a total of 164 points. Foster was remembered not only for his skill on the ice but also for his tough and physical style of play, making him a fan favorite during his time in the NHL.
