Eddie Lack Autographs
Eddie Lack is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who was born in Norrtalje, Sweden, on January 5, 1988. Lack began his hockey career in the Swedish ice hockey league, where he played for Leksands IF and Brynas IF, before signing with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL) in 2010. Lack was an outstanding goaltender in the Canuck farm system, making spectacular saves and earning a spot with the team in a short period of time.
In his first full NHL season in 2013-14, Lack proved his worth to the Canucks and led the team to the playoffs. His good performance earned him the nickname "Stork" and also made him a fan favorite among the Vancouver faithfuls. The following season, Lack played a critical role in the Canucks' playoff run, but the team was eventually eliminated by the Calgary Flames. Despite his contribution to the Canucks, Lack was later traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2015.
Lack's career in Carolina has been up-and-down. Although he had a good start with the Hurricanes, his performance later degraded, and he was placed on waivers in the 2017 season. After a brief stint with the Calgary Flames, where he also struggled to replicate his prior form, Lack eventually retired from professional ice hockey in January 2021. Despite his retirement, Lack will always be remembered by the Vancouver faithfuls, who still recall his remarkable saves and the great moments he had with the Canucks.
