Eddie Olczyk is a former professional hockey player and coach who is regarded as one of the greatest American-born players in NHL history. He was born on August 16, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, where he began playing hockey at a young age. Olczyk made his professional debut with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1984, at the age of 18, and quickly established himself as a skilled forward with a powerful shot. More about Eddie Olczyk

During his 16-year NHL career, Olczyk played for six different teams, including the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Los Angeles Kings. He was known for his versatility and leadership on and off the ice and was a three-time NHL All-Star. Olczyk's greatest achievement, however, came in 1994 when he helped lead the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup championship in 54 years.
