Edgar Laprade was one of the most prolific hockey players of his time. Born in 1919 in the small town of Regina, Saskatchewan, Laprade spent his early childhood playing shinny on outdoor rinks with friends and family. By the time he was a teenager, it was clear that he had a special talent for the game. He joined the Regina Pats Junior Hockey Club and quickly established himself as one of the team's top forwards. Laprade continued to excel in the NHL, earning a reputation as one of the game's fastest and most skilled players. He was known for his blazing speed and his ability to outmaneuver opposing players with ease. Laprade was a key member of the Rangers' "Bread Line," a formidable trio of forwards that included Phil Watson and Lynn Patrick. Together, they led the team to two Stanley Cup victories in 1940 and 1941. Over the course of his career, Laprade played in 535 games, scoring 164 goals and 308 points.
