Eric Daze was a retired National Hockey League player who played left wing. He was born on August 2, 1975, in Montreal, Canada. Eric Daze played sixteen seasons for the Chicago Blackhawks, and he was one of the team's most formidable offensive players. He was a four-time 30-goal scorer and reached the 20-goal mark in eight different seasons. In 2000-2001, he was a First Team NHL All-Star.
Daze was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut on October 10, 1995, and managed to score his first NHL goal in his fifth game. During his first full season in 1996-1997, he registered 30 goals and 70 points. His career statistics featured 601 games played with 288 goals, 304 assists and 592 points. He retired from the NHL in 2006. Despite his many accomplishments, Daze's career was hampered by injuries, and he missed significant playing time due to back problems.
After his playing career ended, he stayed connected to the Blackhawks organization serving as an ambassador of the team. Daze also started his hockey school program, which helps young players develop their game. His dedication to hockey inspired many players, and he was an example of the hard work needed to achieve success.
