Eric Desjardins Autographs
Eric Desjardins is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent most of his career with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was born on June 14, 1969, in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada. Desjardins is considered one of the best two-way defencemen of his time and had an illustrious career in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Desjardins began his professional career in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens in 1989. During his tenure with the Canadiens, he was part of the team that won the Stanley Cup in 1993. In 1995, he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for John LeClair, Mark Recchi, and a draft pick. Desjardins became a mainstay on the Flyers' blue line for the next ten years, earning NHL All-Star honors on three occasions. He served as the Flyers' captain during the 1999-2000 season and retired in 2006 to become an assistant coach with the team.
Desjardins' contributions to the game of hockey were not limited to his playing career. He is involved in several charitable organizations and is a strong advocate for player safety. In 2013, Desjardins was inducted into the Flyers' Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the team. He continues to be an active member of the Flyers organization and a respected figure in the hockey community.
