Eric Fichaud Autographs
Eric Fichaud is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who was born on November 4, 1975, in Anjou, Quebec, Canada. Fichaud spent most of his minor and junior hockey career in Quebec before being drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He played in the Maple Leafs organization before being traded to the New York Islanders in 1997.
Fichaud played for the Islanders for two seasons before being traded to the Nashville Predators in 1999. He played in a career-high 31 games for Nashville in the 1999-2000 season, posting a 3.52 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage. After playing only one game in the 2000-2001 season, he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens, where he played his final NHL game in 2002. Fichaud then played a few years in the minor leagues and international leagues before retiring from professional hockey in 2006.
During his NHL career, Fichaud played in a total of 65 games and recorded a 3.52 GAA and .886 save percentage. While he never achieved superstar status, he was a solid backup and played an important role for several teams. Additionally, he had a successful international career, winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the 1991 IIHF World Junior Championships and representing Canada at the 1995 and 1997 World Championships.
