Eric Nystrom Autographs
Eric Nystrom, born on February 14, 1983, is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 2005 to 2016. Nystrom was born in Syosset, New York, and comes from a family with a hockey background: his father, Bob, is a former NHL player, and his mother, Michele, is a former Olympian in figure skating. With his upbringing, it was no surprise that Eric would follow in his parents' footsteps, excelling at hockey from a young age.
Nystrom played college hockey for the University of Michigan, where he helped lead the Wolverines to the NCAA championship in 2003. After being drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Nystrom spent several years honing his skills in the American Hockey League (AHL) before making his NHL debut in 2005. Over the course of his NHL career, Nystrom played for the Flames, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and Nashville Predators, totaling 383 games played and 68 points scored.
One of Nystrom's most memorable moments in his hockey career came on October 15, 2013, when he scored a natural hat trick (three consecutive goals) for the Predators against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nystrom retired from professional hockey in 2016 and has since worked as a TV analyst for NBC Sports, covering the NHL games he once played in. Throughout his career, Nystrom was known for his hard work, toughness, and dedication to the game, making him a respected player both on and off the ice.
