Filip Forsberg Autographs
Filip Forsberg is a Swedish professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on August 13, 1994, in Östervåla, Sweden. Forsberg began playing hockey in his hometown team, Västerås IK, at the age of four. His skill set and talent on the ice quickly became apparent, leading him to play for Sweden's national team at the U-16, U-17, and U-18 levels.
In 2012, Forsberg was drafted in the first round, 11th overall by the Washington Capitals. He began his professional career in the Swedish Hockey League with Leksands IF in 2011, where he played for two seasons before coming to North America. Forsberg made his NHL debut with the Nashville Predators in the 2013-2014 season and has been a key player on the team ever since. He was nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy, given to the NHL's rookie of the year, in his rookie season and has been a regular member of the Swedish national team, helping them win silver medals in the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.
Forsberg's skills on the ice are a combination of speed, agility, and scoring ability. He has been one of the Predators' top scorers, with his most notable performances coming in the playoffs, where he has registered 27 goals and 28 assists in 65 games. His playoff performance played an integral part of the Predators' 2017 Stanley Cup run, where they were ultimately defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Finals. Overall, Forsberg's career has been impressive, and he continues to be a vital part of the talented Nashville Predators' roster.
