Grant Mulvey Autographs
Grant Mulvey is a former professional ice hockey player who was born on February 20, 1956, in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Mulvey started playing hockey in his childhood and was drafted by the Chicago Black Hawks in the first round, overall 22nd, in the 1974 NHL Entry Draft. Before starting his professional career, he played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey Association and was awarded the Red Tilson Trophy as the Most Outstanding Player in the Ontario Hockey League for the 1973-74 season.
Mulvey played 12 seasons in the NHL and played for teams such as Chicago Blackhawks, Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers. He played a crucial role in the Blackhawks team that reached the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1979-80 season, scoring 24 goals and adding 28 assists during the regular season. In 1980, Mulvey was traded to the Vancouver Canucks and played for them until 1982 when he was picked up by the Edmonton Oilers. He played for the Oilers for three seasons before retiring from professional hockey in 1985. Over the course of his career, Mulvey played 620 NHL games, scoring 192 goals and adding 204 assists.
After his professional career, Mulvey became involved in coaching, serving as the head coach for the Milwaukee Admirals of the International Hockey League for two seasons in the late 1990s. Mulvey was also named Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Director of Player Development for the Blackhawks in 2002. In 2006, he was inducted into the Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding contribution to hockey. Grant Mulvey is remembered as one of the talented forwards in the NHL and a key player for the Blackhawks.
