Guy Lapointe Autographs
Guy Lapointe was a legendary Canadian defenseman who had a distinguished hockey career. Born on March 18, 1948, in Montreal, Quebec, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, and Boston Bruins. He was known for his solid defensive play, as well as his offensive contributions. Lapointe played a total of 884 games in the NHL, scoring 166 goals and 406 assists.
Lapointe began his hockey career playing for the Montreal Canadiens in the early 1970s. He quickly established himself as one of the team's top defensemen, helping them win six Stanley Cups during his tenure with the team. Lapointe was an excellent passer who could create scoring opportunities for his teammates, and he was equally proficient in his own zone, snuffing out potential scoring chances for the opposition.
During his career, Lapointe was also a key member of the Canadian national team, representing his country in dozens of international competitions. Lapointe retired from professional hockey in 1984, but his contributions to the sport did not go unnoticed. In 1993, he was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in recognition of his incredible career. Today, Lapointe is remembered as one of the greatest defensemen to ever play the game of hockey.
