Jacob Trouba Autographs
Jacob Trouba was born on February 26, 1994 in Rochester, Michigan. As a young boy, he showed a great interest in sports and played several sports including lacrosse, soccer and baseball. However, it wasn't until he started playing ice hockey at eight years old that he realized his true passion for the sport. Trouba's father was a big hockey fan and encouraged him to pursue the sport which eventually led him to play at the highest level.
In 2012, Trouba was drafted ninth overall by the Winnipeg Jets, where he made his NHL debut during the 2013-14 season. He quickly established himself as a strong and physical defenseman and played an integral role in the team’s defense. Over the course of five seasons with the Jets, Trouba played in 408 games and recorded 42 goals and 137 points. In June 2019, Trouba was traded to the New York Rangers, where he continues to play as a top defenseman for the team.
Outside of the NHL, Trouba has also represented the United States on several occasions. He played with the US National Team Development Program and participated in the World Junior Championships in 2012 and 2013. Trouba was also a member of the US national team at the 2016 IIHF World Championship. Trouba's athleticism, work ethic, and strong defensive skills have made him one of the most promising young defenders in the NHL today. With years of success already under his belt, Trouba's career only looks to continue to grow and flourish over the coming years.
