Jared McCann Autographs
Jared McCann is a professional ice hockey player from Canada who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on May 31, 1996, in Stratford, Ontario. McCann began playing hockey at an early age and was selected 1st overall by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 2012 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection.
After two successful seasons with the Greyhounds, Jared was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round, 24th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Canucks in 2015 and scored his first goal in the same game. McCann went on to play two seasons with the Canucks before being traded to the Florida Panthers in 2016. He played a key role for the Panthers in the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs, scoring two goals in four games.
In 2019, Jared McCann was traded once again, this time to the Pittsburgh Penguins. McCann has been an integral part of the Penguins' team, contributing offensively and defensively. In the 2021 NHL playoffs, McCann scored a hat-trick in Game 6 of the first round, helping the Penguins advance to the second round. He has established himself as a versatile forward who can play in multiple positions and platforms. McCann's solid defensive skills and explosive offensive capabilities make him an exciting player to watch, and his career is only destined to grow.
