Jared Spurgeon Autographs
Jared Spurgeon is a professional ice hockey player from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Born on November 29, 1989, Spurgeon began playing hockey at a young age and quickly developed a talent for the sport. He started his junior hockey career in 2005, playing for the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League (WHL). During his time with the team, Spurgeon was named the team's captain and helped lead them to a Memorial Cup victory in 2008.
After his successful junior career, Spurgeon was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota Wild in 2010. He spent the majority of his first professional season with the Houston Aeros, the Wild's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, but was called up to play for the Wild midway through the season. Since then, Spurgeon has become an integral part of the Wild's defense, known for his strong skating ability and ability to move the puck up the ice.
Throughout his NHL career, Spurgeon has earned accolades for his solid defensive play and puck-moving abilities. He was named the team's alternate captain during the 2019-2020 season and has been rewarded with a seven-year contract extension. Spurgeon remains one of the Wild's top players and continues to be a fan favorite with his quick skating and strong play on the ice.
