Jason Dawe Autographs
Jason Dawe is a former professional ice hockey player who was born on May 29, 1973, in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. He began his career with the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) when he joined the Owen Sound Platers in 1989. After his first season, he transferred to the Peterborough Petes, and in 1991, he led the team in scoring and was named OHL Player of the Year.
Dawe was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (35th overall) in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro and joined the Sabres for the 1993-94 season, where he displayed strong offensive capabilities, scoring 21 goals and tallying 24 assists in his rookie year. He played for the Sabres for three seasons before he was traded to the New York Islanders in 1996. Dawe played for the Islanders for two seasons but was then traded to the Montreal Canadiens in February 1998. He also played for the Montreal Canadiens, the New York Rangers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins before he retired from professional hockey in 2006.
In his professional career, Dawe played in 212 NHL games and recorded 51 goals and 52 assists for 103 points. He also played two full seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) and was a top scorer in both seasons. After his retirement, Dawe became a hockey analyst for TSN in Canada, appearing on various shows and covering major events such as the Winter Olympics, the NHL Draft, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
