Jason Strudwick Autographs
Jason Strudwick is a former professional ice hockey defenseman who was born on July 17, 1975, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He began his hockey career with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 1992. After playing for various teams, including the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Edmonton Oilers, Strudwick finally retired from professional hockey in 2013. Throughout his career, Strudwick played 674 regular-season games, scored 13 goals, and got 45 assists.
Strudwick started his professional hockey career when he was selected by the New York Islanders in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He soon became a prolific defenseman in the American Hockey League, where he played for the Lowell Lock Monsters, Hartford Wolf Pack, and the Manitoba Moose. He finally made his NHL debut for the Islanders in 1998, and played for them until the 2000 season. After a few seasons with various teams, Strudwick returned to the Edmonton Oilers in 2008 and played his final six seasons with the team. He retired from professional hockey in 2013.
After retiring, Strudwick started his broadcasting career as a hockey analyst on MSG Networks, where he reported on the New York Rangers. He later returned to Edmonton and became a studio analyst for Rogers Sportsnet. Currently, he hosts his own podcast, the "Struds Pod," where he interviews hockey players, coaches, and other personalities from the sports world. Along with his broadcasting career, Strudwick is also involved in the Jason Strudwick Foundation, which supports various charitable initiatives in Edmonton.
