Jeff Halpern is a retired American professional ice hockey player born on May 3, 1976, in Washington, D.C. He started playing ice hockey at a young age and joined the local amateur leagues in the Washington area. Halpern attended Princeton University, where he played college hockey for four years, scored 142 points in 125 games, and was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference player of the year in 1999.
