Jeff Schultz is a former NHL defenseman who had a successful career that spanned over a decade. In 2004, Schultz was drafted by the Washington Capitals as the 27th overall pick in the first round of the NHL entry draft. He spent most of his professional career with the Capitals, playing for the team between 2006 and 2013 before being signed by the Los Angeles Kings. At 6'6'', Schultz was a big and imposing presence on the ice, known for his size, vision, and ability to disrupt opposing offenses. He was a key player for the Capitals in their 2008 playoff run, where they reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and he played in all 14 games, logging over 20 minutes of ice time per game.

Schultz played for a few more years in the NHL after being signed by the Kings, but he eventually moved to Europe to continue his career. He played in a variety of leagues overseas, including the KHL, SHL, and Swiss League, where he continued to make an impact as a solid defenseman. Throughout his career, Schultz proved himself to be a reliable and versatile player, capable of playing a shutdown role or contributing offensively when needed.
