Jim Sandlak Autographs
Jim Sandlak is a former Canadian ice hockey player born in Kitchener, Ontario, on December 11th, 1966. He played his youth hockey in his hometown before moving on to play for the London Knights, where he helped his team win the OHL championship in 1986. Sandlak's solid play did not go unnoticed as he was selected in the first round, 4th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.
Jim Sandlak made his NHL debut in the 1985-86 season, playing in 13 games for the Canucks. He became a permanent member of the Canucks' roster the following season, becoming an important player on the team's third-line. Sandlak was known for his physicality, toughness, and strong defensive play, qualities that made him an important player on the team. Sandlak's best season with the Canucks came in 1989-90 when he registered 20 goals, 25 assists, and 177 PIM in 80 games.
After eight seasons with the Canucks, Jim Sandlak joined the Hartford Whalers in 1994. After spending two seasons with the Whalers, he signed with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent. Sandlak played one final season with the Senators before retiring from professional hockey in 1998. In his NHL career, Jim Sandlak played 549 games, scoring 120 goals and adding 137 assists for a total of 257 points. He was one of the toughest and hard-working players during his career and also had a reputation for being a team player who always put the team's success ahead of his own personal achievements.
