Jiri Novotny Autographs
Jiri Novotny is a former Czech professional ice hockey player. He was born on August 12, 1983, in Pelhrimov, Czech Republic. Novotny had a passion for playing hockey from a young age and started playing in the Czech Republic's national junior teams. He was known for his speed and ability to create scoring opportunities.
Novotny started his professional hockey career in the Czech Extraliga, where he played for five seasons. In 2001, he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the first round of the NHL draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2003-2004 season for the Buffalo Sabres. After playing for the Sabres, Novotny went on to play for the Washington Capitals, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Florida Panthers. In his NHL career, Novotny played in 307 games, scored 29 goals, and recorded 63 assists.
After his stint in the NHL, Novotny returned to Europe and played for several teams in the Czech Republic, Russia, and Switzerland. He played at a high level until 2017 when he announced his retirement from professional hockey. Novotny's contribution to the sport both in the Czech Republic and the NHL will never be forgotten, and his performance on the ice will continue to inspire young hockey players around the world.
