John Scott is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player known for his physical presence on the ice. Born on September 26, 1982, in Edmonton, Alberta, John started playing ice hockey at an early age. He played senior hockey for the Stoney Plain Eagles before being recruited by the Michigan Technological University. In his college career, he was one of the leading goal-scorers for the team and eventually signed with the Houston Aeros, an affiliate of the Minnesota Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Scott was physically imposing player standing at 6 feet and 8 inches tall and weighing over 260 pounds. Over the course of his NHL career, Scott played for the Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks, Buffalo Sabres, and the Montreal Canadiens.
