Jordan Staal is a veteran center who has spent his entire professional hockey career in the NHL. He was born on September 10, 1988, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Staal began his hockey career as a junior player with the Peterborough Petes, where he quickly made a name for himself as a scorer and a gritty, hardworking forward. Staal was drafted second overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he played for six seasons before being traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2012.
