Justin Braun Autographs
Justin Braun is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the NHL for ten years. Braun was born on February 10, 1987, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and grew up playing hockey alongside his three brothers. He started his hockey career with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL before attending the University of Massachusetts and playing for the UMass Minutemen.
Braun was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 2007 NHL draft, and he would go on to spend his entire NHL career with the team. He made his NHL debut on October 4, 2010, and played his 600th NHL game in December 2019, all with the Sharks. Braun was a reliable defenseman and a mainstay on the Sharks' penalty-kill unit, regularly ranking among the team's leaders in blocked shots and shorthanded ice time.
After ten years with the Sharks, Braun was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers in June 2019. He played one season with the Flyers, where he continued his trademark physical play and solid defensive skills. In November 2020, Braun signed a two-year contract with the Flyers, also making it his last NHL season. He retired from professional hockey on May 13, 2021, ending a successful career with the Sharks and the Flyers.
