Ken Daneyko Autographs
Ken Daneyko is a former professional ice hockey player who was born on April 17, 1964, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He is best known for his defensive prowess and physical play as a defenseman in the National Hockey League (NHL). Daneyko played his entire career with the New Jersey Devils from 1983 to 2003, winning three Stanley Cups with the team in 1995, 2000, and 2003.
Daneyko's hockey career began in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he played for the Seattle Breakers and later the Kamloops Junior Oilers. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the first round, 18th overall, in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Daneyko made his NHL debut with the Devils in the 1983-84 season and quickly established himself as a tough and reliable defender. He played in 1,283 career NHL games, all with the Devils, and scored 36 goals and 135 assists for 171 points.
Throughout his career, Daneyko was known for his leadership and work ethic on and off the ice. He was a fan favorite and earned the nickname "Mr. Devil" for his loyalty to the franchise. After his retirement from playing, Daneyko became a television analyst for the Devils and remains heavily involved in the team's community initiatives. In 2011, he was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame and has since been recognized as one of the greatest players in the team's history.
