Ken Hodge Autographs
Ken Hodge was a Canadian ice hockey player born on June 25, 1944, in Birmingham, England. Hodge played twelve seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), starting with the Chicago Blackhawks, but he is best known for his time with the Boston Bruins during the 1970s. He played the right wing position and was an excellent scorer, totaling 799 points in 881 regular-season games.
Hodge's most productive years were with the Bruins, where he spent seven seasons from 1967 to 1974. He was part of the infamous "Uke Line," where he played alongside fellow Canadians Johnny Bucyk and Fred Stanfield. This trio was instrumental in leading the Bruins to two Stanley Cup Finals appearances in 1970 and 1972, with the Bruins winning the latter. In this championship season, Hodge finished third in team scoring, with 52 points in 63 games. However, his most productive season was in 1972-73, where Hodge scored a career-high of 105 points, finishing second in the NHL scoring race and helping the Bruins reach the playoffs.
In addition to his time with the Bruins, Hodge also played for the Rangers, Penguins, and Whalers before retiring in 1978. Hodge finished his NHL career with 328 goals and 471 assists, and his contributions to the Bruins have been immortalized by his induction into the Boston Bruins Hall of Fame in 2011. To this day, Ken Hodge is remembered as not just a great player, but also a driving force in the Boston Bruins' success during the 1970s.
