Kristian Huselius Autographs
Kristian Huselius is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player who notably played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over ten years. Born on 10th November 1978 in Österhaninge, Sweden, Huselius began his career playing professionally in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) for the Vastra Frolunda HC in 1996. He impressed with his skills, and quickly caught the attention of NHL scouts. This led to him getting drafted by the Florida Panthers in the second round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, making his journey to America to play for the NHL.
Huselius’ NHL career was outstanding. He played for a range of teams during his 11 year-long career, including the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Detroit Red Wings. One of his most notable seasons was with the Calgary Flames during the 2006-2007 season, where he recorded career highs in assists (51) and points (77), helping the team reach the Stanley Cup playoffs. Over the course of his NHL career, Huselius played in 662 games, scoring 190 goals and 261 assists, making an impressive 451 points.
In addition to his NHL career, Huselius also played for Sweden internationally, including in the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics. He won a gold medal with Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. His impressive hockey career came to a close in 2012 when he was forced to retire due to a hip injury. Despite his early retirement, Huselius’ impact on the world of ice hockey will be remembered by all those who watched him play, and his achievements are a testament to his exceptional ability and dedication to the game.
