Krzysztof Oliwa Autographs
Krzysztof Oliwa was born on April 12, 1973, in Tychy, Poland. He is a retired professional ice hockey left winger who played in the National Hockey League from 1996 until 2006. Oliwa was known for his tough play style and was a fan favorite as an enforcer for the teams he played for. He started playing for the Polish team, Podhale Nowy Targ Hockey Club, before moving to North America to play in the junior hockey league.
Krzysztof Oliwa's career in the NHL started in 1996 when he was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round. He then played for the Devils for four seasons, where he helped them win the Stanley Cup in 2000. Oliwa was then traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2000, where he played for two seasons, and later played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins. Throughout his career, Oliwa was known for his physical presence on the ice and his willingness to defend his teammates. He played in 428 games, scored 27 goals, and racked up 1,153 penalty minutes.
After retiring from hockey, Krzysztof Oliwa became a coach and founded his own hockey training company. He also became a Polish politician and was elected as a member of the parliament of Poland in 2019. The impact of Oliwa's tough playing style and strong work ethic are still remembered by his fans and teammates.
