Luc Bourdon Autographs
Luc Bourdon was a Canadian professional ice hockey player, born on February 16, 1987, in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. He was considered an outstanding junior player, and in 2005, he was selected with the 10th overall pick in the NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks. Bourdon played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Val-D'Or Foreurs and the Moncton Wildcats, where he gained recognition for his exceptional skating and offensive abilities.
Bourdon made his debut in the NHL in the 2006-2007 season, and he quickly became a promising young defenseman for the Canucks. He played his first full season in 2007-2008, and he was expected to be a significant part of the team's future. However, during the 2008-2009 season, Bourdon suffered a concussion that kept him out of the game for months. He came back in March 2009 and played only five games before being sidelined again with another injury. Sadly, on May 29, 2008, Bourdon passed away in a motorcycle accident in his hometown at the age of 21.
Luc Bourdon's career was tragically cut short, but he had already established himself as a talented player with immense potential. Throughout his career, Bourdon played in 36 NHL games, recorded two goals and three assists, and had a plus-minus rating of +6. He also played for the Canadian national team, receiving a gold medal at the 2006 IIHF World Junior Championships. Although Bourdon never had the chance to live up to his full potential, he remains a beloved figure in the NHL community, and his legacy will always be remembered.
