Luc Dufour Autographs
Luc Dufour is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenceman who was born in Quebec, Canada, on July 13, 1969. He spent his early hockey career playing with local teams like the Amqui Midgets in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec. After completing his junior career, Dufour was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 6th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
Dufour played for the Nordiques' American Hockey League affiliate, the Halifax Citadels, for two seasons before earning his first call up to the NHL during the 1991-92 season. He played 80 games with the Nordiques that season, registering seven points and 88 penalty minutes. He remained with the Nordiques for four seasons until the team relocated to Denver, Colorado, in 1995 and became the Colorado Avalanche. Dufour played a total of 236 games for the Nordiques/Avalanche franchise, scoring 15 goals and adding 40 assists.
Dufour's professional hockey career continued in the International Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals and the Chicago Wolves, where he was often named captain of the team. In his final playing years, Dufour played in Europe, where he suited up for teams in Austria and Switzerland before retiring in 2003. Throughout his hockey career, Dufour was known for his physical style of play and his leadership skills, making him a valuable asset to any team he played for.
