Luke Adam Autographs
Luke Adam is a professional ice hockey player who was born on June 18, 1990, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Adam’s love for hockey started at a very young age, and he began playing organized hockey when he was barely six years old. Adam’s father introduced him to the sport by setting up a rink in their backyard during winters. Luke Adam's talent and hard work led him to join various local teams. After accomplishing tremendous success at the junior level, Adam was drafted 44th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Adam started his professional career with the Portland Pirates, where he played from 2010 to 2013. In the 2010-2011 season, Adam made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres and scored his first NHL goal. In the 2011-2012 season, Adam became a regular player in the Sabres' lineup and finished the season with 20 goals, which is Buffalo's highest-scoring rookie since Thomas Vanek in 2005-2006. Adam also represented the Western Conference in the 2012 AHL All-Star Game. Still, he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2015 and spent two seasons with their AHL affiliate team, the Cleveland Monsters. From there, he played in the SHL and DEL leagues in Europe for two more seasons.
After spending three years overseas, Luke Adam returned to North America and signed a professional tryout contract with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL for the 2020-21 season. In 2021, he also signed on with the Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, marking his return to the Blue Jackets organization. Over the course of Adam’s professional career, he has demonstrated his versatility by playing both left wing and center positions, known for his scoring ability, position play and strength on the puck.
