Marcel Dionne Autographs
Marcel Dionne was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent his 18-year career playing in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, on August 3, 1951. Dionne began his hockey career playing in the Quebec Junior Hockey League before moving on to play in the OHA. Dionne was drafted second overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1971 NHL Entry Draft. Dionne quickly became known for his fast and aggressive play style, as well as his incredible skill with the puck.
Over the course of his career, Dionne played for several NHL teams, including the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and New York Rangers. Dionne was a member of the Kings for the majority of his career, where he became known as one of the most prolific scorers in NHL history. During his time with the Kings, Dionne won the Art Ross Trophy in 1980, which is awarded to the player who leads the league in scoring, and he was also named to the NHL First All-Star Team twice.
In total, Dionne played in 1,348 NHL games, scoring 731 goals and tallying 1,040 assists for a total of 1,771 points. Dionne was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992, and his number 16 jersey was retired by the Los Angeles Kings in 1990. Today, Dionne is considered one of the greatest players in NHL history and continues to be an inspiration to young players around the world.
