Marcus Foligno Autographs
Marcus Foligno was born on August 10, 1991, in Buffalo, New York. His father, Mike Foligno, was also a professional hockey player who played for the Buffalo Sabres. Marcus attended the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) after being drafted by the team in the fifth round of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. He played four seasons in the OHL, scoring 122 goals and 267 points in 248 games.
In 2009, Marcus Foligno was drafted in the fourth round of the NHL draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He made his NHL debut on November 17, 2011, and scored his first NHL goal on December 20, 2011. He played six seasons for the Sabres, scoring 49 goals and 98 points in 347 games. In 2017, he was traded to the Minnesota Wild, where he has continued his successful professional career.
Marcus Foligno is known for his physicality and his ability to score in key moments. He has also been recognized for his leadership both on and off the ice, having been named captain of the Sudbury Wolves during his junior hockey career. In addition to his professional career, Foligno has also represented the United States on the international stage. He played for Team USA in the 2011 World Junior Championships and later in the 2019 World Championships. Marcus Foligno has been a consistent presence in the NHL for almost a decade and continues to be a valuable asset to any team he plays for.
