Marek Zidlicky Autographs

Marek Zidlicky was born on February 3, 1977, in Most, Czech Republic. He played his youth hockey with HC Litvinov and was selected by the New York Rangers in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Zidlicky would go on to have a successful NHL career, playing for five different teams over 12 seasons.
Zidlicky's NHL career began with the Nashville Predators in 2003, where he quickly established himself as a skilled offensive defenseman. He spent five seasons with the team, setting a franchise record for most points in a season by a defenseman with 53 in 2006-07. He was then traded to the Minnesota Wild, where he continued to be a valuable offensive contributor while also serving as a mentor for young players. He was part of the Wild team that made it to the Western Conference Finals in 2009.
In addition to his NHL career, Zidlicky also represented the Czech Republic in numerous international competitions, including the Olympics and World Championships. He won a bronze medal at the 2006 Olympics and was named to the All-Star team at the 2010 World Championships. Zidlicky retired from professional hockey in 2017, ending his career with 68 goals and 287 assists in 836 NHL games. He left a lasting impact on the game with his offensive skills and leadership on and off the ice.
