Mark Bell Autographs

Mark Bell was born on August 5, 1980, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League with the Saskatoon Blades. In the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, 8th overall. He made his NHL debut in the 1998-99 season, and in the next season, he scored 21 goals and 24 assists in 82 games, which earned him a nomination for the Calder Memorial Trophy, awarded to the NHL's Rookie of the Year.
The following seasons, Bell continued to play for the Blackhawks and became a crucial member of the team. His best season came in 2005-06, in which he tallied 25 goals and 23 assists in 81 games. However, Bell suffered a setback in the offseason when he was involved in a DUI that resulted in a hit-and-run incident. The Blackhawks traded him to the San Jose Sharks in 2006 as a part of a three-player swap. Bell's time with the Sharks was limited to only one season as he struggled with injuries and only played 35 games.
In 2007, Bell was traded again to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he played the last two seasons of his NHL career. Injuries and off-ice issues limited his playtime, and in January 2010, he was sent down to the Toronto Marlies, the Leafs' AHL affiliate. Bell continued to play for the Marlies for a year before retiring in 2011. Bell's career in the NHL spanned over nine seasons, during which he played 450 games, scoring 87 goals, and adding 97 assists.
