Mark Fistric Autographs
Mark Fistric is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who spent ten seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on June 1, 1986, in Edmonton, Alberta, Fistric grew up playing hockey in his hometown. He played for the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and later professionally for the Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and New York Islanders. Fistric was known for playing a physical, hard-hitting game and being reliable defensively.
Fistric was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the first round, 28th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 2007 and played four seasons with the Stars, becoming a regular on their defense. In 2013, Fistric signed with the Edmonton Oilers, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the Anaheim Ducks. He played for the Ducks for one season before spending his last two seasons in the NHL with the New York Islanders. Fistric retired from professional hockey in 2018 and returned to Edmonton to work in the oil and gas industry.
In his NHL career, Fistric played 325 games, scored 3 goals and 29 points while accumulating 304 penalty minutes. He represented Canada at the 2005 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, where he won a gold medal. Fistric's rugged style of play made him a fan favorite and a valuable defender for the teams he played for throughout his career. Despite a short-lived NHL career, Mark Fistric has left his mark on the league and will always be remembered as a reliable player who gave his all for his team.
