Mark Napier is a former professional ice hockey player who enjoyed a successful career in the NHL during the 1970s and 1980s. Born on January 28, 1957, in Toronto, Napier excelled in hockey from a young age. After his retirement, Napier transitioned into the coaching and management side of hockey. He served as the head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes for two seasons between 1999 and 2001. Napier has also worked in player development with the Edmonton Oilers and runs a hockey school in Canada. He was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018 for his contributions to the sport.
