Mark Napier Autographs
Mark Napier is a former professional ice hockey player who enjoyed a successful career in the NHL during the 1970s and 1980s. Born on January 28, 1957, in Toronto, Napier excelled in hockey from a young age. He played his junior career with the Toronto Marlboros and helped his team win two consecutive Memorial Cup championships in 1975 and 1976.
In 1977, Napier was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, eighth overall. He played with the Canadiens until 1982, winning the Stanley Cup twice with the team in 1978 and 1979. Napier then played with the Minnesota North Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, and finally, the Vancouver Canucks before retiring in 1988. In his NHL career, Napier played in 760 games, scoring 235 goals and 290 assists for a total of 525 points.
After his retirement, Napier transitioned into the coaching and management side of hockey. He served as the head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes for two seasons between 1999 and 2001. Napier has also worked in player development with the Edmonton Oilers and runs a hockey school in Canada. He was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018 for his contributions to the sport.
