Martin Biron is a former professional ice hockey goaltender, who was born on August 15, 1977, in Lac Saint-Charles, Quebec, Canada. He played for six different National Hockey League (NHL) teams over the course of his 16-year career. Biron began his professional hockey career in 1995 when he was selected in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He played for the Sabres for nearly a decade before playing for teams such as the Philadelphia Flyers, New York Islanders, and New York Rangers. More about Martin Biron

Biron had an impressive career that was highlighted by his amazing performances as a goaltender. He finished his career with a 230-191-52 record, a 2.62 goals-against average, and a .910 save percentage. He also recorded 28 shutouts throughout his career. Biron also played in the playoffs nine times and made his fair share of incredible saves. He was known for his quick reflexes, and his ability to anticipate where the puck was headed, which helped him to make many game-winning saves throughout his career.

Biron retired from professional hockey in 2014 at the age of 37. After his retirement, he continued to work in the hockey industry as a broadcaster and commentator for various networks including TSN and the Buffalo Sabres network. He has also been involved in various charitable organizations that help hockey players in need.
