Martin Havlat is a retired Czech professional ice hockey player. He was born on April 19, 1981 in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic. Havlat started playing hockey at a young age and quickly became one of the top prospects in the country. In 1999, Havlat was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2000-01 season, where he quickly established himself as a rising star for the Senators. Havlat was known for his speed, skill, and scoring ability, helping the Senators reach the playoffs in his first three seasons with the team. In 2005, he signed with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he continued to excel as one of the league's top forwards.
